If you choose to create an account, you must provide us with some personal data so we can provide our services. This includes your name, a password, and a username, email address, or phone number. Your name is always public.

Public Information
Most activity on Couro is public, including your profile information, your time zone and language, the date you created your account, posts, and certain information about your posts, such as date, time, application, and version of Couro. Information such as the people you follow, who follows you, and posts you Like are also public. If you like, comment, or otherwise publicly engage with an ad, that advertiser may learn information about you related to the ad. Information posted about you by other people who use our services may also be public. You are responsible for your posts and should think carefully about what you make public, especially if it is sensitive information. Updates to public information, such as deleting a post or deactivating an account, will reflect across the Couro platform.

Content Submissions and Model Training
By submitting videos or other media content to Couro, you grant Couro the right to use this content to improve our machine learning models and algorithms. Your content may be utilized in a non-identifiable format for data processing aimed at enhancing the Service, as detailed in this policy. Such content will be handled in compliance with Couro’s data security and privacy guidelines.

Data Minimization and Purpose Limitation
We collect only the personal data necessary to provide our services effectively. Couro limits the processing of your data strictly to the purposes disclosed in this policy.

Data Retention Policy
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide our services and fulfill our business operations or as required by law. Once your account is deactivated, data will be retained for 12 months before secure deletion, subject to legal requirements.

Age Verification and Children’s Privacy
Couro’s services are not directed to children, and individuals under 13 may not use Couro. We may require age verification during the signup process to prevent underage usage. Couro does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 13.

Contact Information and Address Books
We use your contact information, such as email or phone number, to authenticate your account, keep it secure, and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse. Contact information also enables account features, such as login verification, and allows us to send you information about our services, including personalized ads. If you provide a phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Couro as your country’s laws allow. Your contact information may also be used for marketing purposes, if permitted by law, and to help others find your account, including through third-party services. Email and mobile notification settings allow you to manage notifications, and you can unsubscribe by following instructions within the notifications or here.
You can choose to upload and sync your address book on Couro to help find and connect with people you know and to improve content recommendations.
